I got back from my visit to “Deep in the Heart of Texas” and now we are deep in the …heart of Mexico. We have been having 0-5 degrees weather here in Puebla.I haven’t been taking any pics for quite a while because our camera doesn’t really work, I have to admit my blog is getting pretty boring without any pics and my constantly changing themes. Angie and the kids had gone back earlier and I stayed a few extra days in Texas and then in Northern Mexico to do an event there.
The event was like torture working grueling 15-18 hour days mostly it was the low quality Mexican Christian music blaring out of like 8 boom boxes located at the different stands around us ;in front of us behind us,beside us,each
stand had their ranchero, regueton, quebraditas, norteno,Marcos Witt, anyone with half a voice and microphone would have record their CD’s and people would buy them, some of them were totally off key or some ladies singing had this screeching nasal whiny sound if you can call that singing, blaring at incredibly loud decibels,Thank God for our decent music like Salt of Earth and Amigo del Alma.It kind of
reminds me of how the Army would play super loud sounds to demoralize the people hiding inside their
hideouts like they did in Waco and in Panama with Noriega but at the event their intention was supposed to be a pleasant experience to get people to buy the CD’s. So imagine 5 days of that,it’s enough to drive anyone crazy but eventually as everything it
passed and the event went well and it finished well,we lived through it and we celebrated the end of the event with KFC chicken and Caguamas before
heading home the next day.As we drove through Mexico City some corrupt police pulled us
over at 1 AM and managed to scare the driver of our van into giving them 700 pesos.ARGH!
Yesterday Angie had her Birthday and Thanksgiving happened yesterday and Lisa had her baby before yesterday,
we haven’t been able to celebrate anything yet as a lot of people are gone to Chiapas right now so we will celebrate when they get back.
